JCC Council

JCC Council:

The Council is established pursuant to the articles (4, 5 and 6) of the mandate of the Joint Crisis Coordination Centre (No. 1 of 2015), the JCC Council is composed of the senior representatives of the Key line Ministries and Governorates Crisis Response Offices. The Council meetings is chaired by the Minister of Interior and in normal circumstances it meets monthly and its primary functions according to the Bylaw of the Council (No. 1 of 2015) are:

  • To make policies and decisions regarding plans to prevent, mitigate, respond to and solve any crisis and disaster that may occur in the Kurdistan Region
  • To adopt best practices, recommendations or options regarding the response and management of any crisis/ disaster which JCC presents to the Council.
  • To prioritize the strategies and needs for the current humanitarian crisis response plans.
