Today, June 19, 2017, the Joint Crisis Coordination Centre (JCC) held its second quarterly coordination meeting with the international NGOs operating in the Kurdistan Region to discuss the challenges surrounding the current humanitarian crisis, such as response, approaches and areas of priorities.
The meeting focused on the current issues and challenges facing the process of delivering humanitarian assistance to the displaced people in the Kurdistan Region and providing more services to the IDPs, refugees and host community in the Kurdistan Region.
Hoshang Mohammed, the Director General of the JCC welcomed the representatives of the NGOs and on behalf of Ministry of Interior extended thanks and appreciation for their role and contribution to support and help the displaced people and the host communities in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting ended with several recommendations to be taken by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the NGOs to address the outstanding challenges and issues highlighted in the meeting to ensure effective and efficient operations of the INGOs.
