The KRG’s Ministry of Interior and the Iraqi’s Ministry of Migration and Displacement signed an MOU today to institutionalize cooperation and coordination between Erbil and Baghdad in response to the current humanitarian crises in KRI and Iraq.
The MOU sets out the framework to further enhance joint efforts to a better planning and implementation and resource mobilization at the regional, federal and international level. It also outlines joint works to ease and facilitate the stabilization and return process of the IDPs to the liberated areas. JCC at the KRG and Operation Office of the MoDM are designated as the leading institutions for implementing the MOU.
